If so, are you watching its Halftime Show or Turning Points?

I was listening online and lost the feed middle of the second quarter. Been surfing auction sites since then.

Tell the truth, Detroit not being there, you couldn’t bear to watch. 😁

Well, that was pretty lame. I haven’t watched a halftime show in probably 20 years, their usual agenda is not in alignment with my taste buds. But if the Turning Point thing was supposed to convert me, well, that was an epic fail. I’m getting old, lol.

Kid Rock played the same Super Bowl halftime show as the infamous Janet Jackson "wardrobe malfunction," in 2004. He didn't impress me then, and he still doesn't impress me now.

I grew up in the sticks a quarter mile from a trailer park, but I haven't spent enough time living in one, by which I mean ever, to appreciate his style of redneckery.

I watched BB’s halftime show. I thought it was pretty good. Of course, it was almost exclusively in espanol, and my Spanish is only about a 25% fluency level, so I was mostly lost.

I'm not fluent in English rap so I doubt that I even would notice it being in Spanish.

I've become less and less interested in the Super Bowl in the last 10-15 years. I still think the best Super Bowl is the one the Bears won though I preferred the Seahawks and it was a dream come true when they finally won.

OK, I have to stand corrected in light of your “wardrobe malfunction” reference point. It’s been more than 20 years since I’ve watched the halftime show, lol.

And as somebody who is near the foothills of the Appalachian mountains (redneck Heaven), very close to trailer parks and folk living up impoverished rural “hollers” in shanties and ramshackle tin huts, lived in a mobile home for three years when I was first married, and a Mom who is a proud self-professed “hillbilly”, I might have a greater awareness and exposure to the Kid Rock fan base. Having said that, I don’t get it either, lol.

Having said that, it wasn’t just the genres of music that was underwhelming or offputting, but the feeling of being targeted, for lack of a better descriptor, as a recruit for shallow populist “conservativism”, or worse yet, hollow nationalism.

Neither. The Chiefs aren't in it, so not interested.

Who cares about the half-time show?
When I said I hadn’t watched the “halftime show in probably 20 years”, that was a clue as to how disinterested I am/was.

The only reason I proposed the question was because of the demographic of this forum being in the wheelhouse for Turning Point USA, coupled with the intense amount of propaganda that I had seen promoting the event leading up the Super Bowl. I figured that it would be something of an amazing spectacle based on their promotions. Not so much.

And most football people didn’t want to see another Super Bowl filled with Taylor Swift trivia and skybox shots of Travis’ mommy.😉
