I live on the in Washington on the border with Idaho. Saw a tree the other day with about a dozen turkey vultures perched in it. That was unusual. You occasionally see one or two gliding through the air but not so many and perched.My guess is the seagulls viewed the dead whale as toxic. I’ve wondered if vultures would have been the same or not. Actually, I don’t know if they even have vultures in that part of the country.
