Thoughts on Lent

I am not sure how everyone here feels about Lent but I am very adamant about this one thing:

After lent, what ever you lent out should be returned! It's just common decency right?

Roman Catholics celebrate Ash Wednesday by going to their priest and making an "ash" of themselves.

Do you know how the Roman Catholic priests make holy water? They boil the hell out of it.

I remember one Ash Wednesday in SoCal we had an earthquake that wasn't strong enough to do much damage but still rattle some nerves, I saw a bunch of folks lining up at the Catholic church to get ashes smeared on their heads. I thought it was because of the earthquake. I didn't know it was Ash Wednesday or even what Ash Wednesday was about.

And returned in as good or better condition than when you borrowed it. The car washed with the gas tank full for instance.
