MTG A Newly Minted RINO?

50 years! Back then dancing was still a sin. 😉
When I was growing up lots of things were considered Sin.

Shorts of any type on guys and pants or shorts on women
Going to the movies (drive ins were doubly bad)
Some types of eye wear
Dice in games or any other use.
betting or gambling of any type.
Raffles
All forms of playing cards regardless of game (novelty games like Uno, Flinch, Rook, Touring, Pit and Old Maid were ok).
Dungeons & Dragons
Riding your bike on Sunday
shopping on sunday (except for the pharmacy)
Any modern music
Dances
high heels
Any type of jewerly on guys (wedding ring & dog tags were exempt)
Thin ties
pierced ears

I digress

moved to

Things once considered Sin and may still be. in the Fighting Forum.

I have not heard anyone credible teach just because the political process is ugly we should not be involved or not attempt to bring Jesus and Christian values and principals back into politics.
Since that is not what I said.

Do you have a Pastor? If not, why not?

If so, does he ‘get paid’?
Is it wrong,/biblically erroneous for a Pastor/Teacher to receive payment/honorariums?
Maybe he is a "Hard-Shell Baptist" who doesn't believe in "Paid Clergy?"

Looking at the Hard-Shell (Primitive) Baptists, they definitely get what they pay for!

We have a few Primitive Baptist congregations in our area.
They don’t believe in a lot of things…and they do get what they pay for…😁

I may have met Kieth Davey once, is he in the Lowell Davey clan?
I was referring to knowing the good for nothing pastor. 😊
Yes! Keith was Lowell's brother. Lowell, of course, was the BBN director/founder, Keith was founder of Missions to Military. Keith pastored Colonial Baptist Church in Virginia Beach for almost 10 years before his son, Dan, took over. Keith and n his wife Yvonne were avid collectors of pithy sayings.

I love pithy sayings almost as much as I love irony. Of course I won't turn away a quality malapropism or mixed metaphor.
