No one here is for sending anyone's son to die in a senseless war! I can appreciate the concern you have for your own son. Fact of the matter is that once you "Raise your right hand," you belong to Uncle Sam and Uncle Sam can do for you as he pleases! Anyone who enlists in the military must be aware of this! You are no longer able to act out on your political ideologies or "Protest" according to your "Conscience!" If your son has not already made the commitment, this is something the two of you need to sit down and carefully consider and pray over!

I was quite upset regarding the way that Biden pulled the troops out of Afghanistan and was telling people that "Hell will freeze over before any of my kids or grandkids will ever serve in the military" and I meant it! The way we pulled out of Afghanistan was an absolute embarassment! Biden's actions told the world that the sacrifices made in Afghanistan meant NOTHING! We basically spit in the face of the Afghan people and pissed on the graves of every man and woman who paid the ultimate sacrifice! Believe me when I tell you that I have not forgotten this nor will I ever forget and neither should anyone else!

Conflict with Iran was inevitable unless we had another leftist in the White House then we would have more and more embarassing photos of our servicemen behing held captive and Russia and China would use Iran to move the balance of power over to their side! Would you like to live in a world like this where Christians would be persecuted and slaughtered without any recourse? This was our "Globalist" world before President Trump emerged and I am thankful for his leadership!

All I ask is whatever he is planning, he accomplishes and wraps up before he leaves office in 2028 where if, God forbid, some radical leftist proceeds him and muffs everything!

Sure, a drone is an aircraft, but as far as I'm concerned it makes that ship an "aircraft carrier" only in the sense that it carries aircraft--but like the amphibious assault ships used by the Marine Corps, it's a launch platform for drones or helicopter/VTOL, not capable of acting as a base for fixed-wing jet fighters.

I’ve had many long hard conversations with him about this. Even before this Iran stuff kicked off.

I explained to him very carefully without trying to hurt his ambitions, I’ve walked a very fine line on this topic with him.

But basically I’ve told him many different ways that we do not fight for our freedoms anymore or to keep our guns. We go to war these days for the 1% to become more rich.

The up side to this is that he believes that we are fighting a foreign country’s war being in Iran. Sooooo, that’s a huge plus and I’ve been sending him clips and these type things of former military men that were in Afghanistan and what they saw once their boots touched the ground.

Id like to think as much as an 18 year old boy can understand that he will be fighting or dying for another country. He told me the other day that he doesn’t want to die for Israel. I told him, that’s exactly who you’d be dying for buddy.

So in 2 weeks I’m taking him out to eat just me and him and I will tell him that if he goes out to Iran that I know 100% that he will regret it.

I’m gonna bring up being a firefighter. He’s one of those kids that is very very driven and physical. He’s been in kickboxing for 6 years and has had probably 9 fights in the ring. He’s also said he doesn’t want a 9 to 5. So anyway, a lot to talk about.

If he really wants to go in the military but without getting dragged into another war in the Middle East, how about encouraging him to go in a direction like the Coast Guard. Their deployment rate is pretty darn low.
