Is “Christ is King” Anti-Semitic?

Related question - if someone says they still agree with the platform on which Trump campaigned for President in 2024, that there should be "no more stupid wars in the Middle East," would that be considered anti-Semitic?

Asking for a friend.

Yes, we should temper the Gospel to the suit the sensitivities of the Jews.

Paul: Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. - Philippians 1:15-18
[And I say, "God bless it!"]
The Jews: Humbug!

Needs context. What is the connotation of "Christ is King" when spoken to, for example:

  1. a fellow Christian? (A core tenet of the faith.)
  2. a Roman soldier at the door with a statuette of Caesar and a pinch of incense? ("No, I will not give the Emperor what is due to Jesus alone.")
  3. Ben Shapiro, by Candace Owens? ("Joooooooos!")

The "Christ is King" controversy is not over whether Christ is indeed King (motte-and-bailey fallacy notwithstanding), but the intent of those who wave the slogan in the face of others, particularly Jews--in which the slogan sounds like a Christian proclamation, but really means "up yours." And that's the context in which Cruz is speaking.

That probably would be more anti-Semitic to say to a Jew.

I don’t think it is but I’m guessing that’s more offensive to them.

Concern troll is concerned (and can't decide whether it's offensive or not).

I'll bet "Christ is King of the Jews" is worse to say to an antisemite.

I don't think it is, but I'm guessing that it's really offensive to say to them.

Dude if you can seriously hold grudges or get upset with someone on the FFF you have serious issues.

Let me find out where you go to church. I’m gonna tell on you and tell them you need to be churched.

You've got a rather vivid imagination if you think your simplistic opinions and general unseriousness rise to the level of something worthy of being upset at.

In the past and throughout history actually, Jews have been persecuted by "Christians" (namely the Roman Catholic Church) referring to them as "Christ-Killers" and yes, this would be anti-semetic but also noteworthy that in saying so, they themselves completely overlook the very reason why Christ came in the first place remaining just as dead in their sins as the builders who rejected the stone that has become the cornerstone!

Perhaps Ted Cruz is speaking from personal experience regarding how and where he was raised. Babteeeests are not always the "nicest people" and are often just as lost in their religiosity as any Catlick, Lu'tran, or Jooooooo! I believe that we can (and must) be respectful towards those of which we disagree or follow a false religion but I do not feel so inclined towards those who misrepresent Christ!

Christ is the sovereign creator who is over all and to whom all will one day stand and give account. Jesus is not your "Homie" and neither is he your favorite "Sports Team" or NASCAR driver!

For you yes.

You also need to understand that Ted believes that the Jews today are Gods chosen people. He said in the Tucker interview that when he entered government his sole objective was to champion Israel. Not America.

And to whom ALL will one day bend the knee, and confess that Jesus Christ is King of kings, and Lord of lords.

Christ is King of all.

It doesn't matter that some are being contentious and insincere. It doesn't matter that the Jews are offended. Our lips could be dripping with honey and they'd still hate us for it. Quite the contrary, for the very reason the Jews are crying about it we should shout it all the louder. Christ is King. Repent and be baptized every one of you!

Christians worship a Jew.

It doesn't matter that the Christian nationalists, Mexican twinks, groypers, Krazy Kandace Kultists, neo-Nazis, rednecks, and other assorted people of pallor are offended. Quite the opposite, for the very reason the crackers are crying about it we should shout it all the louder. We worship a Jew. Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, a Jew, every one of you!
