They were complicit in the Nakba. Jews entered as refugees, then seized the homes and lands of the Palestinians, murdering many of them and expelled the rest to the open-air concentration camp known as Gaza.

The State of Israel came into being as soon as the British Mandate ended.

The Jooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooos didn't invade anyone's country. It was turned over to them by the previous owners.

On the other hand, what happened the very next day was a bona fide invasion.

Right. Turned over just like Naboth's vineyard. Did the British hold title to the lands, or were they merely the governing authority?

We do not pass laws that say the death penalty is only for a certain race.

The Brits took over at the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. So yeah, effectively they held title to the land. They regarded the locals as incapable of self-government. Looking at present-day Gaza, they probably weren't wrong.

At the time I used it, I believe it was in response to an obsession here by bashing IFB’s incessantly (I think). I hadn’t thought about it for years…but I guess it might point to the obsession with Trump here now.
