Trump’s Holy War - He’s Like Jesus???

Anyone who knows his Bible realizes that Donald Trump is nothing more than a cultural Christian. There is thread after thread on his language, self-boasting, dirty jokes he has told in the past, lavish lifestyle associated with billionaires and countless other flaws easily seen of public figures under constant scrutiny. What else is new? When I voted for Donald Trump, I was voting for someone who would stem the rising tide of Communism which is so indistinguishable from the Democratic Party that there have been “man on the street” interviews where people couldn’t distinguish between statements given by Karl Marx or leaders in the Democratic Party.

Donald Trump has given statements more than once about how he hopes he might make it to heaven some day because of the good he has done which is exactly what every lost person in the world believes. Paula White, like a demon out of hell has encouraged him to believe he is like Jesus because of his policies. Christians should pray for Donald Trump, not only because he is the President but because he is a lost man who needs salvation. People like subllibrm believe Christians have no right to be involved in having any influence on who will be leading our country. He uses a broad brush to paint Christians who publicly supported Trump as nothing more than his two bit whore. At the same time, he will never tell us who he voted for and will never say who is worthy of his vote. I voted for a flawed man who has promoted policies that puts American citizens first as it should be. There is nothing wrong with disagreeing on various political issues or his foreign policy, but to never have a good word to say about the man while putting yourself on a moral high horse is nothing but hypocritical.

I voted for Donald Trump but I believe that world peace will only come about when the Lord Jesus Christ returns with a rod of iron to set up a kingdom of righteousness for a thousand years upon the earth.
 
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Can you imagine the forum’s response to Biden being depicted as Jesus and publishing it on Twitter or Facebook or whatever? Can you imagine the backlash and indignation that would occur? What would Little Miss Thang and Reverend Rerun say after pounding on their war drums? 😮

Well, we kind of saw this--just not with Biden, but Obama. Consider the imagery around his campaign and subsequent presidency: magazine covers with haloes, glowing nimbuses of light, headlines like "The Second Coming," artwork (like the Shepherd Fairey "Hope" poster) that resembles religious iconography, the low-angle photographs making him look larger than life, and so forth.

Obama himself didn't lean into it too much himself, but I thought the speech he gave after he clinched the nomination in 2008--"this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal"--sounded needlessly messianic and reminded me of King Canute presuming to control the tides.

Overall, the imagery was either well-received by his supporters--think, for example, of the schoolkids singing "Barack Hussein Obama, mmm mmm mmm"--and mocked or satirized by his detractors.

If Biden had used similar imagery, I assume it would have been similarly received. More so on the negative side, probably.

As for Trump himself, he's surrounded himself with religious yes-men, Word-Faith teachers like Paula White, and various other sycophants who frequently compare him to Jesus. The fool is believing his own PR.

I remember Obama being depicted by a few he-makes-me-tingle fans and artists. The liberal media loved it. However, Trump has taken this to a whole new level and is doing it himself.


I’ve had this crazy thought for some time, which is now seeming less crazy. I don’t think I’ve ever thought this of someone before, but I think Trump is actually jealous of Jesus. This isn’t the first time he’s done stuff like this aimed at Jesus and Christianity.

I had a friend who thought she was God and had to be sent away for help.

This is not much different.

P.S. Trump is approaching 80. He could be going senile. Also, call me brazen, but it may be time for a female president.
