Every life matters but 13 US service men and women who died is not a large number. The question is was the war necessary. Was there a threat to Isreal or any alley that Iran was going to use nuclear weapons. I have no way of knowing. We should not ever be pressured to deploy weapons or troop but on the other hand we should not be afraid to deploy them when we have no other viable options to protect our national interests. I think President either did what the national security councel felt was the only viabl option or he is a complete idiot. War with anyone is serious but war in the middle east is very complicated. There is a delicate balance between all the players. If there truely was credible evidence IRAN was soon to deploy a nuclear weapon against anyone a loss of 1000's of us service men would be justified.
