Candice Owens and the Spanish Inquisition

Candice Owens blames the Catholic Inquisition on the Jews just as Tucker Carlson accuses Israel of genocide for defending herself against Hamas which has launched more than 10,000 rockets and mortar shells into Israel since October 7, 2023 and cheers every time a suicide bomber kills a Jew anywhere in the world. Not only that, but Carlson also believes Hunter Biden’s laptop was planted by Israel. I don’t hate Catholics or Muslims but history shouldn’t be rewritten in a way to place the blame on the real victims.

I watched that debate yesterday. Feh. Wilson didn't come across particularly well, either--he didn't establish his own thesis. But Owens basically proved that she feels herself immune to the burden of proof--at one point expressing "full confidence" that France and Israel were implicated in Kirk's murder, but refusing to articulate any reason why. (And getting quite snotty when Wilson pressed her on the point.)

Yeah, she's a crank.

And a motormouth. She not so much debated as filibustered. She often sounded like she was trying to just run out the clock.
