No tax on overtime is incorrect.
It’s actually a write off on the half not the time and a half.

So if you make $10 per hour your time and a half is $15 per hour. You only write off the $5 dollars per hour.

No tax on tips. We have some friends whose daughter is a waitress. She said, we keep our tips. We do not ring our tips up or record them. They keep 100% of their tips. They never paid taxes on that.

She wasn’t paying taxes on tips to begin with.

How many waiters and waitresses do you really believe this helped?

Yeah I know tin foil hat. Trump knew this. It sounds great but wait staff wasn’t paying taxes on tips anyway.
 
Meanwhile, Trump is promising that gas prices will fall below $2 a gallon immediately after the election, and the war in Iran will end immediately after the election. If Trump has the power, and the willingness, to make these things happen, why should he wait until after the election? Wouldn't it help Republican candidates to win the election, if he lowers gas prices and ends the war before the election? Why not take care of these things right now?

Oops, I forgot, he is preoccupied with more important stuff like changing the names of Lake Ontario and New Mexico, with gutting the income of retired people by "slashing" interest rates, with claiming Iceland as US territory, and his Ballroom and Arc de Trump, plus sticking it to our British allies with unsolicited advice about Northern Ireland and Falkland Islands which, by the majority choice of their citizens, are and should remain British territory.

So what happens is at the end of the day they turn in whatever maybe $20 and they actually took home $300. My niece works at a high end restaurant in Houston and does this.

Yes, by law they’re supposed to claim 100%.

The point is, Trump didn’t actually do anything to help wait staff. That law actually runs out at some point. It’s not permanent.

But you know what law is permanent? The nearly 1 trillion dollar tax cut he gave to the 1%. By taking from Medicaid or Medicare I forget.

that;s correct...... every penny i earn outside of part time work in the coffee shop....and even some of it there.... is handed to me directly in the form of cash... . or basically "tips"... ..it is all declared as income on my taxes each year. .......since it never adds up to much i always get most of it back - but failing to declare income on tax forms is something nobody should want the IRS to suspect them of.....
