Clancy Husband in Murder Case

Anyone see the interview last night ? Those were beautiful kids. A real tragedy. I see brokenness in him but there is a cold edge too. New wifey Mrs. Fertility Doc. Interesting.

The Montanists and some other Christian groups in the 2nd and 3rd Centuries banned remarriage after the death of the spouse, but this is unscriptural. Paul in 1 Corinthians 7:39 stated that it was permissible for widows to remarry. I would apply this grant of permission to widowers also. Paul didn't specify any cooling-off period between the death of the spouse and the second marriage, so what is the big deal?
 
I never said anything really negative about remarriage. My whole post was about the speed of it in the aftermath of such a terrible situation. It's not like the wife or husband just kieled over or a long ailment. Why attack. It's in the news and I sure am not the only one.

I did not attack you in my response.
I just asked why you’re so interested in it. I don’t know exactly what the gentleman went through, although it was certainly horrific, and have no reason to criticize his decision to remarry.

I do agree it is odd that he remarried that quickly, in this situation.

I'm not surprised. Remarrying after more than 3 years is not too quickly - especially if he wants kids and all of his other kids were murdered.
