so God is not God if He doesn;t fit into the narrow confines of your human logic and doesn;t follow the rules you have set in your mind for him?... .. i have always said calvinism does not try to mold man to Gods image... but rather tries to mold God to the image of man..... you prove me right once again.... .

I am not arguing Calvinism and the statement goes far beyond Calvinistic thinking - God decrees all things which comes to pass! Nothing happens of which God is unaware and nothing happens of which God does not allow!

If God is able to stop all of the horrible things going on in the world, why doesn't he? No, this is not fitting God into the confines of my human logic. It is something I often have difficulty in understanding myself.

He allows us to suffer the consequences of our own stupidity and hard-headedness..... ..not that hard to understand unless a person is a narcissist and can;t imagine themselves being wrong... making stupid decisions.. and can;t admit to being hard headed....

Perhaps, I could agree with this but why does bad things often happen to "Good people" who are not suffering because of their own stupidity and hard-headedness but because of the stupidity and hard-headedness of others?

Not particularly but the story is quite horrible and clearly illustrates the moral bankruptcy of Islam does it not? As for us, we certainly should not be fatalistic in our actions. If we are able to do good, we ought to do so and If I were one of those firefighters, I would've knocked that cleric on his keester and done my job to rescue as many of these girls as I was able to! To him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him it is sin!

We still have to deal with the fact that God allowed this tragedy to happen. Why? Perhaps it was to illustrate to the world the moral bankruptcy of the Islamic religion and perhaps this opened the eyes of some giving opportunity for the proclamation of the gospel? I do not know nor would I even try to understand all of this. Just standing by and doing nothing while young girls to burn to death and then declaring that it is "God's will" is reprehensible!

It may be more popular to say that "God had nothing to do with this!" but what exactly are we saying here? Does this mean that God is powerless and incapable of preventing bad things from happening to us? Does this give you more comfort than acknowledging that "God decrees all things which come to pass" and that he works all things together for good to those who love God?

look here’s the thing. I would never go to a rally or door knocking for these people. I’m not emotionally invested in politics. I enjoy keeping up with it. It’s like football for me.

I’m literally not worried about anything. I’ve learned what’s going to happen will happen, period.

God is in control. I do not understand how he works on a personal level or on a world stage. I’m ok with that I’ve excepted it. It’s all good.

Some Christians are so fatalistic they believe they have no responsibility to do anything because God ordained it. Christians shouldn't vote for their representatives because it is ordained already anyways. Why oppose Socialism, abortion, transgenderism, etc because that is political. God is sovereign but some Christians are so heavenly minded that they are of no earthly good.
