The fight over building one has been going on for two years. No secrets and nothing to do with the election.
 
It seemed that way because here in Ohio the big thing on every candidates agenda was lowering the energy cost. Our electric is sky high. I'm late to the party too. There was a big article in VA. A school is surrounded by 11 or 13 Data centers I don't remember the exact number. They are getting choked by generator smoke. What purpose or job do they serve and why the huge need?

Data centers are definitely controversial, that might be the understatement of the year. The place that I work is getting ready to build one of the largest ones in the country and there are three others going up within 45 minutes of us.

All economic revolutions have negative and positive ramifications, but this warp speed expansion definitely needs to have some checks and balances to make sure that it’s done equitably, and it doesn’t appear that the folks in Maysville are receiving that kind of consideration.
 
Governor Landry here in Louisiana signed a NDA. More than 120 people in his office signed it. The NDA covered, news reporters, blogs, trade organizations and other public audiences.

Any time our elected officials keep information away from the public there is cause to believe that it will not benefit the people but harm them.
 
Back in the day before I was married. I worked a store route in South West Ohio, Northern KY and Southern Indiana. I had to check displays. This was before Smart phones or GPS on smart phones. Looking back I'm wondering if the Smart phone and high-speed Internet was a contributing factor for the Data Centers. The introduction of AI which of course seems to be what's mostly driving it. What is the difference of a Data center and a server farm?
