I think you are very likely correct.

Who is David Lilly? And where do any proceeds go from sales, now that Mrs. Hyles is dead?

Does anyone know who operates that website, which sells many of the Jack Hyles books? https://www.jackhyleslibrary.com/

I'm happy to see that Mrs. Colsten is still faithfully "toeing" the line!! :) No exposed toes for Elaine!!

I gotta say, even when I was there fifty years ago, I always thought that "how many sermons I've preached" claim (and number) was very dubious. I also thought it was unnecessary. I mean, why make that claim? IFB accounting has always been very slippery. I also wondered how we NEVER missed a big...

I don't know the guy. I've never met him and actually know very little about him. But I have it on good authority that he was considered, perhaps very briefly, as a candidate to succeed Bro. Hyles in 2001. I do not know about 2013.

Perhaps they bought lots years ago. Dirt is still dirt and George isn't there anyway. It's as good a place as any to plant his remains.

From Mrs. Godfrey After struggling with dementia for several years, my beloved husband, George, went to meet his Savior on August 10, 2026. He is at peace now rejoicing with the Lord. His obituary will be shared soon. The visitation and funeral will be held on Thursday, August 13. Memory Lane...

For over forty years, that question has been asked repeatedly. I do not know the answer. I do know that Joy, his daughter brought a civil law suit against Dave Hyles, FBC and HAC for monetary damages just a few years ago. That suit was dismissed by the US District Court in Chicago on statutory...

He was one of the early directors of BIMI Missions based out of Chattanooga and (I think) affiliated with Tennessee Temple. He was with them for many years. Most of the missionaries that the Independents produced in the sixties and seventies were affiliates of BIMI. I knew him through my church...

I liked Don. He wasn't "dynamic" like a lot of those guys tried to be in the seventies. He was faithful and true to the end. That's a God honoring legacy.

Jo, maybe we are all sad in some ways. I guess that's life. I said it in a previous post, but of all of Dr. Evans attributes, I thought congregational song leading was his strongest. I remember one of my close friends in college told me back then "he's the best song leader I've ever heard." I...

Do you know approximately what year Dr. Evans stepped down from an on-campus role at the college? Was it before or after the Schaap firing?
