we live in the middle of the pacific on the outer edge of partial eclipse zone...... and won;t be able to see anything worth looking at here.....  but we working on a vacation plan that will put us somewhere on the u.s. mainland  in the zone of totality, on august 21 - 2017.....  8) ..........

the place on the u.s. mainland that will experience the greatest duration of totality....approximately 2 minutes and 40 seconds......  is just south of carbondale, illinois, in giant city state park... ..... probably not where we will be to see it ..... but somewhere along the line that black spot crosses on the video...  ;).....
