5 Million Dollars - Not Enough!!!

He said $5 million spread over 50 years would only amount to $100,000 year, and then with taxes, 'you'll be lucky if you end up with $40,000 a year.'

Even if reparations was a valid undertaking, how many slaves actually were enslaved for 50 years? And if so, did they actually produce even close to $100k per year in profit for the slaveowner?

And if 60% is truly lost to taxes, why aren't they protesting the exorbitant tax rates?

Well, there’s also that little inconvenient fact that California wasn’t a slave state. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I propose everyone who can prove they were a slave prior to being freed in 1863, should be free of all federal, state and local taxes for the rest of their lives. I think that's legislation that would see bipartisan support.

As long a we live our lives looking backwards we will never move forward toward the future.

Can I check a box to get my taxes reduced if none of my ancestors were here until after slavery was abolished?

Wouldn't matter. If reparations go into effect nationwide, look for a revolution to begin. I don't blame anyone who would go into a Civil War over this hogwash.
You’ve got a point there, but unfortunately today’s youth have been so brainwashed by liberal ideology that they’ll probably think it’s justified.

There are still many Gen Xers, and other intergenerational people who would outnumber these. I've heard a LOT of people who have mentioned Civil War against this garbage.
