Back in the 90's, Steve Hefner and Mike Zachary made a CD. I don't remember the name of the cd, but it had a (very cheesy) cover in which they spooned each other, sitting on a rock, wearing pink sweaters...not well thought-out.
HOWEVER, I would really love to be able to hear one track on that CD: "O Love That Wilt Not Let Me Go". I am arranging that hymn for a Thanksgiving concert and believe it or not, that arrangement from so many years ago stands out in my mind as very beautiful. I would like to hear it again, to see if my memory serves correct. And to share it as a reference with the vocalist for the concert. Does anyone have this CD??

Spam?

I am certain that all of the IFB entities affiliated with Mike Zachary have scrubbed their media and have erased him from existence. Perhaps he is hanging out with Ray Boltz these days?

I am not looking for him, and this is not spam. I am looking for that CD, thinking that back in the day when we were all instantly purchasing any new cd that was produced, someone bought it and has it sitting around.

I don't remember that one. Was it produced after 1993?

Just as an aside, Steve Hefner occasionally drove buses for my route. Was a stand up guy.
I lost touch with him after i graduated in 1993.
What is he doing today?
Hopefully not 5 to 10.

:)

No, brainisengaged has been on this forum for years. If he's a spammer, he's been playing the really long game.
Good to know!

Just seemed like he was "trolling" just a bit talking of Mike Zachary and Steve Hefner "Spooning wearing pink sweaters!":ROFLMAO: Especially based upon things that have come up related to certain "tendencies?" I got a good chuckle out of it but perhaps I should be ashamed of myself???:cool:;)

I am sure it is a good arrangement regardless of the scandals or whatever. I still like many of Ray Boltz's songs ("I pledge allegience to the lamb" especially) and would love to use them if there wasn't such a stigma attatched to them now.

Well, "spooning" may be a bit hyperbolic. But the rest of the description isn't so far off the mark...

Sadly, though, I am having no luck finding someone who actually HAS the cd. I knew it was a shot in the dark...
And, I do confess to loving me a little hyperbole!

I thought it was funny that I hunted for the CD cover image (not really hoping to find anything out about the actual CD) and it just brought me back here.

You have me interested in hearing the arrangement, so if you find the track somewhere, upload it to the cloud and post a link.

Will do. In my memory, it was beautiful, reverent and elevated without being pretentious or overdone.
