But is it more sinful and/or dangerous than shooting dice?

Adult Coloring Books and Mandalas, A Warning For Christians

FYI, had to post the meme found toward the bottom of the blog:

It was a natural blog progression.  First, the yoga pants.  Now, the mandalas.

Is that a naked cat in your avatar?

No.

There are TWO naked cats in my avatar.

I thought the second cat was wearing culottes...my eyes are terrible.

Those cats are NOT naked.  They are wearing animal skins, just like God provided to Adam and Eve after the fall.  ;)

Maybe, but I think this cat not only needs clothes, it needs a bra.

Ha!Ha!  Yep, if I were that cat, I would be wearing both!

***Yep, I'm pretty sure the quote feature is broken.***

Make sure, when you are posting a reply to a quote, that you scroll ALLLLLLL the way down the page in the input screen.  When I don't do that, I end up answering inside a prior (multiple-too-many-nested) reply.

OK, Web.  I went down to the bottom of the quoted post and added a few lines, just to be sure.  And the preview looks right.  Thanks for the tip!

The illustrations in the blog post aren't even mandalas. The first one is a Celtic knot.

So far as I know, the Celts weren't heavy into Buddhism.

Update: I should have clicked the link first, I guess. It appears that the author has updated his illustrations to use specifically Buddhist examples. The original version, as I saw it a week ago, had an obvious Celtic knot circle as its first illustration.

For the record, I have no problem with Celtic artwork, but I do somewhat share the author's concerns about mandalas, which reflect a pagan philosophy. (In my mind it's about the same as "Christian yoga.") More fundamentally, I find the idea of an "adult coloring book" silly. Do a crossword puzzle or listen to some jazz.

One of the few Xer friends I still have from the old days posted this on Facebook last .week. She sees a demon behind every bush. I would hate to live my life scared of everything that comes down the pike.

I just thought of Lisa Ruby and the Halloween candy.

Oh, Ruby.... don't take your Halloween candy to town.

Obviously this author is a closet racist. Why else would he be against a colored Mandela?
