AA was ever a good idea. I say, let the field level itself which will happen if race isn't part of the selection process. Hiring or accepting someone on the basis of race is discrimination regardless of how it's "colored".

I agree with that! Especially when it comes to selecting a SCOTUS justice....like the latest one chosen. She's as dumb as a rock and just another leftist liberal ideologist!

I think it was probably somewhat needed in the 60s and maybe the 70s, particularly in some geographic regions. In my opinion, it should have come to an end by the 1980s.

As far as I'm concerned, any private entity is entitled to hire anyone they want: nice blond, blue-eyed Aryans, urban black youth who need a hand up, beautiful slim buxom waitresses, whatever.

But any entity in receipt of public moneys should have hiring policies based strictly on merit, except where it makes obvious sense to hire a particular class of person, such as a woman to run a college women's centre, or a black African-American Studies professor.

Affirmative Action was just reverse racism IMHO. Free markets shouldn't give a quota on which race should or should not be hired.

I wish this is how things are…unfortunately one political party keeps certain peoples in mental bondage.

If the people want to remain purposefully dumb, let them do so. We can only give them the truth...we can't make them accept it.
