makes me wonder too, if there is something in this antique vampyre/werewolf emergency kit that would have
protected somebody from guys like this with his toe fetish...... or does it need to be expanded to include new

items?.... .. maybe a whole new updated kit?..... ...would definitely have to find a bigger box... :cautious:

I think the revolver would have done quite well.

I agree that that revolver might have done the trick OR that hammer (to knock some sense into his head).

Revolver would probably do the trick but probably needs to be upgraded to a 9mm.

Note the powder flask. One could customize the power of the discharge.
true....a 9mm would work better on phantom midnight toe suckers than that black powder relic.... ..... but with a werewolf what you need is a silver bullet.. .. and it doesn;t have to be all that powerful.. just accurate....... as long as you had a bullet mold for 9mm and knew how to hand load cartridges it would work..... 🐺

the pistol in the kit is an old ball and cap style revolver where each cylinder has to be hand loaded... it dates the kit to being around the time of the american civil war ... my dad said it looks like a colt .31 caliber pocket pistol.. (or baby dragoon)...

that device below the powder flask..( that looks like a pair of pliers)... is actually a bullet mold.. ..most ball and cap guns sold at that time usually came with a mold to make bullets of the same caliber as the gun..... .....and apparently one of those boxes with a lid is supposed to be for storing pre-molded silver bullets...... .. ... the small green tin in the upper right above the revolver holds the percussion caps....

but the thing that i would worry about where this kit is concerned, would be the length of the wooden stakes .... (which are supposed to be used on vampires).... . they are nowhere near long enough.... the idea of driving a stake through a vampires chest was not just to pierce the heart - (which in a vampire is already dead) - but to drive the stake all the way through him and pin him to the ground... .. that way he would not be able to rise up from the dead when the sun went down..... they would also drive the handle of a sickle into the ground just above one shoulder and position the blade across the vampires neck.... any attempt to rise up would take the vampires head off...... 🧛‍♀️

i;m not sure what all those glass vials contain.... at least one of them must be garlic in some form.... others would probably contain salt to repel witches.... and poppy seeds..... (theory being that vampires are obsessive compulsive.... if you spread poppy seeds on the floor around your bed at night the vampire won;t be able to resist stopping to count them... and thus will give you time to get away....) ;)

not certain any of that would deter a hotel clerk accustomed to sucking on toes.... he might actually like the garlic.... ...but some kind of hot pepper powder or foul tasting oil applied to the feet at night might work.... might be a good idea for an overly elaborate and ridiculously expensive research project for congress to fund.... but then again.. knowing congress... they might have spent a few million researching it already....... :sneaky:

You seem well-read on vampire lore.

A guilty pleasure of mine is a good vampire story.

mine too... .i like most of the mystery/fantasy horror genre of books and movies... it;s what my
favorite team of fiction authors write about... douglas preston / lincoln child..... .but as of yet
they still haven;t come up with a book that was purely about a vampire..... the closest they came
was bloodless that i posted a picture of below...... .. they usually like to take strange stories and
unsolved mysteries from the headlines, and spin them into a good mystery / horror story... ...they
could probably write a good one based on this hotel clerk - toe fetish guy.....

Can't say I'm as well-versed. Let's just say my infatuation began with 'Salem's Lot', and was refined by 'The Night Flier.'
