Another "BaptistBoard" site?

I am tempted to predict that this site will eventually become another BaptistBoard type site with heavy handed moderation, and at least one moderator who will be vicious in his/her dislike of certain people, and in defending a certain sect of Christianity regardless of the proof. Sorry, but that's just how I see it shaping up. I could be wrong, but I sincerely doubt it.
 
You mean us? I deliberately try to avoid moderating if I don't have to. Am I going to die and no one told me?
 
I don’t see any sort of inappropriate moderation. I see a lot of personalities conflicting.

You aren't the one I'm speaking of. We know that you and FSSL don't throw a hissy fit over the mention of your alma maters or the denomination you're in. I'm trying to NOT be really direct since someone is so easily offended.

When I am in a personality conflict, people here know how I will react, usually in fun...I personally have nothing against anyone here, but it does, seem to some of us, that the atmosphere here has changed recently.

Nah! Let's see if you can get in an argument with a moderator or administrator on some "other" particular forum you and I occasionally frequent! The FFF is not even close!

Bro. Caines thought someone was making an unfounded attack on Calvary Chapel and he came to their defense for which I completely understand. Huk stood up to him and he is still here and everyone is still happy! :cool:

Cross a moderator or admin on that "Other" board and you may find yourself taking a break for a few days!

You know me, Ray! LOL I have to test the limits to make sure the battle lines are clear. 😉 I'm not one to just let little things like this slide. Brother Caines is a fine man, I'm sure. Yet, whether he, FSSL, or Scott, I am going to be on the side of the underdog. Still, the atmosphere has changed somewhat and I am not the only one that's noticed. That other board is full of people with strange, unscriptural views. I check in there occasionally whereas I used to be there nearly every day, several times a day.

As long as I own the domain and hosting, your prediction is not going to happen.

I've been called all sorts of names and never moderated a single post which did so. I used to have a signature line that grew with the various names. I dont take things too seriously, here.

In the 2010s, someone asked if I would keep this going. I keep the hosting active and the software running while killing off the spammers. I kill off personal threats, porn and hari krishna spammers. Moderation is extremely light... and it has worked well for the FFF.

Ransom has been moderating for as long as I have been.

Abcaines came in to help control the night shift (though not exclusively).

Just 3 people here and we are mainly controlling spam and porn.
 
And so far it's worked well. It could just be growing pains. They're not always comfortable at first, but people get used to it and continue on.
