He's been a big deal in Reformed Baptist circles because of his involvement with G3 Ministries, which has been a sound teaching ministry for the past few years. The exposure of his double life is probably not up there with the fall of Steve Lawson last year, but it's significant.

I'm still shaking my head over this one! I can fully understand and appreciate how and why someone would fall into sexual immorality but making "Sock Puppets" in order to slander, troll, and injure the reputation of many of his colleagues??? I just do not get the rationale!

Perhaps we should invite him here to the FFF where his "Sock Puppets" could liven things up a bit?

I mean, sock puppets are a part of the FFF's rich history but we usually did so for fun and entertainment! I miss Hugh Jass (God rest his soul) and Dr. Phil Armenik among others.

I'd like to see what he posted on social media with these sock puppet usernames so we could judge for ourselves whether it was all in good fun or whether it was genuine slander. We will never know just like we will never know the full details regarding Steve Lawson's "Inappropriate Relationship."

I personally believe it is time we got over all of these "Celebrity Christianity" circuses and get back to the preeminence of the LOCAL CHURCH where every believer ultimately fulfills their calling.

Funny you should mention him. Phil on Twitter the other day was talking about how, in contrast with Buice, he used sock accounts but only for fun and never seriously tried to hide his identity. It was obvious he was talking about ol' Hugh.

(Ironically, I never caught on it was Phil until much later, when he started his blog and I recognized the Photoshop style from the old Hugh Jass posts. I never said, but I always though it was Jeri Massi.)
