Anybody following the unrest in Ferguson Missouri?

The kid was shot to death, which on the surface, seems like excessive force, but if he did attack the cop (after he had robbed/strong-armed a convenience store clerk) then what is to be expected?  Has our world gone completely nuts? It seems we've got another innocent Trayvon here.  :  Of course much of the looting was done by people who would look for any opportunity to show their wanton disregard for the law, and to steal stuff.

Not very closely, but with some interest. It certainly appears the local police used excessive force in crowd control, and in attempting to suppress press coverage. They also seem to be far too militarized. Things are much calmer now that the state patrol are handling crowd control, much more intelligently it appears. But as to whether the initial shooting was 'righteous'? I make no judgement at this point. I don't have nearly enough information.

You're just seeing it in Ferguson because that's a hot spot right now.  It's everywhere.  Even tiny towns in Texas have at least one MRAP.  DHS has accumulated and distributed military hardware (MRAPS, etc.) to police departments all over the USA. 

I'd say this is all part of Obama's brownshirt army, but the program started under Bush.  Obama is just holding down the fast forward button.

Exactly.  Those businesses deserved to be looted.  They have stuff that the protesters don't have, and that's unfair.
