If you listen to his publicly available sermons, you will hear references to his work.  He travels weekly, and hence the 'border' run-ins.  I haven't listened to them all  so I am not sure how much he has divulged. 
'Communications technology service sector' is general enough. (He still has to physically maintain/ install new, for his customers, unlike some internet gurus I know ;)

No,no.... He is definitely a nut job that's for sure. That is not the only video I have seen of him. He is picked on regularly at stuff fundies like.

Guy is a people person, and Steve is a genius, who runs a successful business and pastors a growing church, while battling border agents on the side. I have had the pleasure of laughing with both of these men, many times, in a variety of situations. Frag I only 'know' here, but he seems to be consistently positive and happy, albeit fiesty.
FWIW, our admin, who I consider to be extreme in his textual criticism, and very sarcastic at times, also appears to be a genuinely happy person.
Wrap up: I believe extreme views and happiness can dwell simultaneously in the same mind/ heart.

There are many who take positions we would consider to be "extreme" and they do so out of sincerity and a genuine desire to please and glorify God with their lives. We should all be careful in our criticisms of such people!

The problem is when you have some "Leader" who is coercing such STAAAAAAAANDEEEEEEEEEEERDS upon others and everyone else in the group are compelled to conform themselves, to be "enforcers" of such a standard, and to shame anyone who does not conform. These are the ones who end up on Eric Skwarczynski's "Preacher Boys" broadcast crying about all the "abuse" they suffered in IFB Churches or whatever.
 
Latest from Steve Anderson, who seems to love stirring multiple pots of controversy - he says single mothers are "whores" and should not be given assistance. It is not clear to me, from this article, whether Stevo would make an exception for single mothers whose husbands divorced them, or died.

I don't know. Unlike Kaczynski, Spamderson isn't a hermit. Does he get any kind of monetary support from other "new IFBs" apart from his own church?

The Bible says that Christians should be happy. God didn't save us to a life of misery.

I know some extreme folks and they never seem genuinely happy.

Happy? No. Fearful, mostly. Fear looks a lot like anger. It's because they haven't been taught Christ's forgiveness.

Always thought it strange that liberals accuse people with traditional conservative standards as being "extreme".
No matter though.
They accused Jesus and Paul of the same.
