As often as you drink it

1 Corinthians 11:25
In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

Doesn't this imply that, whenever we drink wine, we are to do so in remembrance of Jesus and what he did?  It doesn't sound like it's restricted to taking the Lord's Supper.

Not really. The implication of "this cup" was clear from the context. At the original time, Jesus would have been specifically referring to the third cup of the Seder meal. Since its infancy, Christians have understood His command to be referring specifically to the Eucharist meal.
