Asking about whether someone is a member here

I stopped using FB back in 2015, but somehow folks are still able to find me because every once in a while I'm notified that I received a friend request.
I’m active on FB and semi active on Instagram. But I am old! 😊

And speaking of songs of that era, what's the only Billboard Top 10 hit in which Jesus Christ is the sole lyricist?
Is it from an Andrew Lloyd Webber production? 😁

I’m outta gas, so I cheated. “Put Your Hand in the Hand”?

Nope. Again, though, right era. The hippies claimed Jesus as a counterculture figure and one of them, so there were a few years in the late 60s and early 70s where songs with overtly Christian themes were somewhat popular on radio: "Superstar," "Put Your Hand in the Hand," "Jesus is Just Alright," Spirit in the Sky," and so forth.

The clue was that Jesus Christ was the sole lyricist. "Put Your Hand in the Hand" mentions Jesus, but doesn't use his words.

(Reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1974. It's also one of only two Billboard hits by a nun, the other being "Dominique" by the Singing Nun, which reached #1 in 1963.)

was she a real catholic nun?... .. i never heard of her before....
or any of her songs.... ...and i sometimes attend a catholic
church....

but i am familiar with a group of catholic surfers that tried to promote
the church by being surfing nuns once... ... they jumped on their boards

and took to the waves wearing modified habits..... ...

but it didn;t last long.... the group was quickly condemned by no less than

the vatican itself - whose representative said that while the idea had some
visual appeal - the pope would have none of it.....:sneaky:

Yep, Janet Mead was a real nun. A Sister of Mercy in Australia. She was a one-hit wonder as a musician, and didn't like the fame. Spent most of her time helping the homeless. She died just a few years ago.

that;s awesome....she was the real deal.... .. . i am glad she put her energy into the ministry instead of giving up her ministry for fame.. .like so many do.... ..i can see why the song went up in the charts... . it;s catchy and gets into your head.. .... plus the lyrics are scripture ... .. .... she had a great talent....

Ok, all of the guesses were songs I had heard and was familiar with, but that is the first time I ever heard that one before, so at least I don’t feel like I lost the Final Jeapordy question 😁
