ASSAD: Talk About Sick

"God does not always act with justice. Sometimes He acts with mercy. Mercy is not justice, but neither is it injustice. Injustice violates righteousness. Mercy manifests kindness and grace and does no violence to righteousness. We may see non-justice in God, which is mercy, but we never see injustice in God." - R.C. Sproul

Lol... look at the one who claims to be God's judge... judging.

Even if there was no God, I contend a moral lifestyle centered around others results in a happier life here on earth. Immorality and vices lead to addiction, pain and unhappiness. The worldly, immoral lifestyle often leads to pain, regret and sometimes incarceration. It often leads to emptiness and discontent.  A life spent helping others brings great joy and satisfaction and mixed with a little sadness. I hurt for those who choose the wrong path but rejoice with those in which I have made a difference.

I would not trade my 55 years of serving others for a bank full of money and all the power in the world. Prove to me there is no God and I would stop preaching salvation, but I would not change my lifestyle or my moral standards. I would continue to live bible Christianity because it appears to bring happiness and satisfaction. Living a humanistic lifestyle centered on self is not the path I choose to walk.

Oh the irony!

Then you violate Scripture by "being like a fool" (Prov 26.4) even trying to justify ANYTHING without God is futile. God is the source of all knowledge and wisdom and happiness/joy. What you did is make an argument for moralism. There is no presupposing "no God". It's an intellectual mistake to even presume that point.
Point made and taken,

All I was saying is God created us and gave us a blueprint for a successful life here on Earth. So often I hear people talk about Heaven, but my point is the Christian life on Earth is full of Joy and contentment as well.

I was thinking as I was typing the last post, how can one exclude God even for purposes of discussion. He is the beginning and the end, the very basis of everything, and by him was everything made.

I was in no way bragging. All I was saying is my feeble attempt to follow the instructions laid out by God, on how to live a productive life, have resulted in happiness and fulfillment. Despite our many faults and failures, just attempting to live the way God wants a person to live, reaps great benefits. God uses man despite our many weaknesses and short comings. If my poor attempt at the Christian life can result in such blessing from God, I can only wonder what being totally committed to Gods will would be like.

The only thing I can proclaim is a perfect God choose to give his life to ransom me from Hell. Without God, all we have is death and Hell. I can only hope, Route 70 and any others who deny God, will see their need for a savior before it's too late.

The more we learn about this fiasco, called Syria, the more ugly, heinous and despicable we find the human actors.

Obamas thumb twiddling and malfeasance has already been noted above.

Now, we see, first-hand that John Kerry deceived us into believing that they had achieved a 100% chemical free Syria.

Before God gets the blame, perhaps we should deal with evil humanity. Witnessing sinful man accuse God is absurd (couldn't think of a worse term at the moment).

You may not like how Obama handled it and think he could have handled it better that would have resulted in a better outcome but to say you know is just foolish.

He didn't handle it. He faked a "red line"

2013... chemical attack hundreds killed. Obama caves

2015... chemical attack again... not a peep from Obama

2017... Trump delivers

Obama's threats were a laughingstock around the world. Syria was emboldened and knew Obama was ineffective.

I hope the strikes have the desired result. Only time will tell if it is the right move. You do seem to forget that Syria chose to do this again when Trump was president. You also forget that citizen Trump did not want to bomb Syria.

This is not about who cares about the Syrians the most or if either does care.  I wasn't for banning Syrian refugees and you were for banning refugees. Does that mean that I care more? In this case I am not against the strikes. I hope the strikes bring the desired results. The effectiveness of most military intervention is not known for a period of time. Russia is now threatening us. If this led to war with Russia would we consider the action a good thing?

There is no God.

One don't need a bible to know that stealing is wrong and one doesn't need a bible to know that one day they will stand before a Holy and Just God and give an account of their lives. It's inside us. It's called a conscience.

The most caring thing for the Syrians (as noted from this Syrian) is to let them have their homeland.

1) ISIS promised to create a refugee crisis to use to infiltrate other countries. Something the media never mentions now.

2) We do not have the ability to vet Syrians. Their government is not providing us with the necessary documented support.

3) Developing sanctuary cities here show a grave lack of compassion on the communities.

Liberalism is not about compassion. They are incapable of leading. Only through proper leadership will compassion rise up.

So, you are saying that you do not need the Bible ... period.

Thanks. Since you agree conscience and creation speaks of a God then that makes you a liar.

Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.

You seem to be the definition of an oxymoron.

So how do you propose we give  Syrians their homeland? Are you willing to fight a war with Russian if that what was needed? We have continued to face challenges giving Iran and Afghanistan "their homeland". I am not saying the strikes were wrong but how much are you willing to sacrifice for countries where we must have an indefinite presence for them to have some form of stability?

1. How would the press mentioning what ISIS has done here have an impact on what is currently happening.

2. There have been zero terrorists attacks from Syrian refugees. The US has the most comprehensive vetting of all countries that accept refugees. The reason that refugees are not terrorists is because the process is too long and they don't get to chose the country they are placed. There are easier ways if you want to commit a terror attack to get into the US.

3. Sanctuary cities are for illegal immigrants not refugees. Aside from that cities chose to be Sanctuary Cities. They believe their community has better relationships with the police when people are not afraid of being deported and that illegals working and living in their cities helps their local economies. Nobody is making the over "over 200 Sanctuary Cities" be Sanctuary Cities.

Your last three statement are nothing but rhetoric. People are compassionate not political persuasions. Franklin D Roosevelt was a pretty good leader.

Someone has their head in the sand. Zero attacks from Syrian refugees? Germany, Switzerland France ... even other Muslim countries won't accept the refugees because of the high threat of terrorists among them.

There has been one Syrian refugee in Germany that killed a woman with a machete and wounded 5 others. There was a Syrian that was refused refugee status and blew himself up and 15 were wounded.

There has been one Syrian refugee in Germany that killed a woman with a machete and wounded 5 others. There was a Syrian that was refused refugee status and blew himself up and 15 were wounded. The German government has said that the risk of someone being a perpetrator of terrorism was not greater among refugees than among the general population.

I can't find any record of Syrian refugees committing terrorist attacks in Switzerland.

In France VP Pence said two of the attackers were Syrian refugees but this turned out to be false.  All the attackers turned out to be born in Belgium or France.

I should have stated that there have been zero attacks by Syrian refugees in the US but the countries you mentioned have had attacked by terrorist but except for one they were not Syrian refugees.

We all agree that Assad is sick. We can agree that we hope the administration finds a answer to Assad. We will need to bomb more than one airfield and the question is how much is the people of the US willing to pay to get the desired result?

I'm sorry, LongGone, I meant to respond to your post, not clobber it. I couldn't find your original post cached, otherwise I would have rolled it back. No malice intended. Feel free to rewrite or paraphrase your point as you see fit.

Update: Never mind, I tricked my browser into showing me the cached version. All is normal!

Anyway, to return to my original question:

I'm curious why a wannabe "refugee" would have a splodeydope kit.  Seems like a funny way to seek refuge.
