Baptist Missionaries murdered in Mexico

One of this couple's sons goes to the church that was influential in getting me back in church.  Here's his twitter account regarding this tragic matter.  http://twitter.com/toddshields

Please continue to pray.

This is a tragedy for sure. We had a missionary from India come to our church a while back, and he said they go through several missionary deaths every year. There is such great evil out there. A book I would highly recommend to anybody is, Tortured for his faith by Haralon Popov(sp). Gives you an idea of what we're up against in case you were wondering.

We had a missionary at our church from India within the last year.  He showed us video that he'd personally recorded which showed Christians being beaten and chased by mobs of angry people, people mostly from that "religion of peace".  Martyrdom is still VERY real for Christians, and persecution is a fact of reality in these other countries.  Thank God He has given us the liberty to practice our faith here in this country, but the truth is, most Christians in America don't do anything in the way of witnessing that they might see persecution.  In the case of these particular missionaries, it doesn't seem as though the motive was anti-Christian sentiments, but simple robbery.  Very sad nonetheless, especially given the violent (strangulation) end they came to.

Please continue to pray for the remaining family members.
