According to the Baptist Press of 15 Feb 2017,  High Street Baptist Church of Springfield, MO pastored by Eddie Lyons, the
current president of BBFI, is aligning with the SBC.  The pastor says "We have the same heart; the same calling". The church will be
aligned with both the BBFI and the SBC.
