Billy Graham: Why The Hate?

I could believe Graham thought one or two individual Mormons were regenerate Christians in spite of their affiliation. We've had others say as much about Beck here on the forum.

I'm still skeptical the BGEA would just whitelist the whole Latter-day Saint organization just because a few individual Mormons had mainstream respectability, though.

On the other hand, when it's news organizations like the Washington Post and Time magazine saying so, rather than some fundamentalist rant-rags and yellow polemics blogs, obviously there's something to it.

With regard to the Washington Post article, it is interesting to note that a prominent clergyman of the United Methodist Church (a liberal denomination, although that clergyman may not necessarily be liberal himself) was so highly critical of Billy Graham for removing the Morons from the list of cults. The United Methodist Church accepts baptisms from most non-Methodist Christian denominations, but they will not accept Moron baptism because it is non-Trinitarian.
