Bobby Cox, manager of Braves' teams that ruled National League and won 1995 World Series, dies at 84

Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame manager Bobby Cox has died. Cox died Saturday in Marietta, Georgia, according to the Braves. Cox had a stroke in 2019.

I grew up a fan of the Braves when Bobby was doing his thing, and doing it quite well. I’ve become more of a Rays fan since moving to Florida many years ago, but the Braves are still near and dear to my heart.

I remember him from his stint with the Jays. They won their first division title with him.

Then he went back to the Braves and lost the Series to the Jays in 1992. Oops!
