one problem is that people spend too much time listening to the main stream media pundits spinning and recapping things.... and not paying attention to what the politicians themselves are actually saying...... .. ..at the democrat national convention in february of 2023 democrats officially declared "white christian nationalism" to be the greatest threat to democracy and also to national security..... ...

that term has been floated around for a long time and many christians believe they are excluded from that identified group because they are either catholic or not a nationalist... or they think the democrats were only talking about extremists... . or... (like me)... they are not white.... ...but when you look at how democrat politicians and their party leadership defines it - you realize it includes every one of us ...and then some.... .

regardless of your color or denomination.... ..... if you believe in the God of the bible - both old and new testaments.... and you oppose the lgbtq-rsp agenda and the left wings push to silence christian voices - and remove christian influence from every institution both public and private... then the democrats are dedicated to cancel and abolish you..... and in the end even make it illegal for you to practice your faith.....

all the democrats i know are in favor of them..... i am not doubting that what you say is true - and i am sure out there somewhere there are rank and file democrats who are against their partys obsession with drag queens.... . but do you know of any democrat politicans currently in office who are against them?.......... it;s a serious question.... .. if there are.... and specifically some prominent democrats who could steer their party the other way and back toward decency... i would really like to know who they are.... . i would support them in any way possible short of actually voting for them..... ....i know tulsi gabbard was always against drag queens but she is no longer a democrat....

you are of course spot on.

It doesn’t matter if some individual Democrats aren’t pro trans movement. A vote for Democrats is a vote for pro trans policy.
 
There’s plenty of examples of cognitive dissonance in a variety of areas of Christendom. Some will say Lord, Lord, but He will say “I never knew you” despite their proclamations.

to quote barbarosa.. ."thar be a lot of long words in there... and we;re not but humble pirates..."...;). ....or at least some of us are.. .. ..i never was a student of psychology as much as i was a recipient of it;s services... .. my sister is the one with the phd.... . .... but i think even she would question whether it;s truly cognitive dissonance.... (a war within oneself... or simply put... denial) .... that leads to most of the political/theoretical disagreements in christianity?.... or are they simply that? - disagreements.....

it could be true...... but one of the problems with that phrase today - is that the woke-left green new dealers have used it so often to describe those of us who don;t support their climate change ideolgy, until it has lost it;s effectiveness.... ..the way they use it now it does simply indicate a disagreement.... but their use of it is also intended to ascribe some kind of mental illness or deficiency on the part of those disagreeing with them.... in other words they use it as a cheap shot to write us off....... and as a way of cloaking themselves in their own kind of denial - in order to avoid getting involved in a real discussion about what is going on.... ..

another way to describe it is like - rather than getting down and doing battle in the trenches - they do high fly overs at 30 thousand feet .... and from the safety of altitude - carpet bomb the entire battle field..... granted it does halt the discourse.... but does nothing to resolve it....
