Dozens of police officers raided two Catholic Diocese of Saginaw properties and arrested senior Vatican priests they believe are connected to a pedophile ring. 

On Thursday, the home of Bishop Joseph Cistone and Rev. Ronald J. Dombrowski were raided as part of an ongoing clampdown on child sexual abuse within the Catholic church.

I had to chuckle at the headline, calling them "Vatican" priests.

Are they here on vacation?  Do they have diplomatic immunity?

The other sources don't call them that.

A couple months ago, police apprehended a local priest on possession of meth and child pornography.  (Considering he was principal of the church's school, this was no small thing.)  This guy had had a long history of issues and being shuffled from one parish to the next.  He'd been apprehended at one time earlier for wandering around an East St Louis truckstop drunk and disorderly...
