Soon, Mrs. Coffee and I are going to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary (poor lady - ). Gonna be heading to Destin, FL.

Anybody have any restaurant and/or entertainment recommendations?

We were just there first week of October.  Have friends who own a condo there and gave us recommendations. 

The Marina Restaurant has BOGO between certain hours (I think 4-5 or something like that.  Look it up online.  If it doesn't tell, PM me and I'll check my FB messages where my friend told me.)  It's only certain entrees, but it's a good selection of at least 9-10, and the food was delish. 

Also, within the gates of the Sandpiper Condominiums is a Louisiana Larg... restaurant.  I don't have time to look it up, but you can sit right on the their own little marina.  The shrimp and grits....I would drive there again to get that. 

Also Captain Daves....down the road a little bit, as well as the already mention Back Porch. 

Those are the four our friends who go to Destin at least 4 times a year mentioned....as well as one in Seaside , a little town about 20 miles away.

Fuddpuckers is nice as an attraction but their food is so-so. If you get to Orange Beach, AL, JW Finz is worth the drive.

Gators, right?

My kids liked it.

Stop by my place in ATL & I'll loan you a surf fishing rod & reel for some beach fishin.

Your wife will be glad to know there's an Outlet Shopping Mall there for when you're not chasing her around.

Louisiana Lagnaippe is name of restaurant within Sandpiper Cove gates. It is open to public.

Here are a couple other places our friends - the condo owners,who were just there again last week - like to frequently eat:

Crab Trap
Harry T's
The Crazy Lobster
Bud & Aly's in the little town of Seaside - about a 20-25 minute drive from Destin.

Other friends also enjoyed McGuires in Destin, but we did not go there.

There are several nice restaurants at/or within walking distance of the Emerald Grande at Harborwalk Village. This is on the west side of Destin, FL.
