Did Abraham "pimp" his wife?

YOU twisted my words. But then again, the topic is so silly.... It happens.

Please explain. Maybe I misunderstood your position. You agreed with NUTS position on "pimping" Sarah.

What did I twist about your "violate" comments?
You said that I said she was actually violated. I said he "allowed her to be violated."

What is the difference? Explain.

You could have easily have said "he allowed the possibility of her being violated". That isn't what you said. You said he allowed her to be violated. Which means. She was violated.

That he said she was actually violated. He never said that. He said that Abraham left her to the Egyptians knowing that she likely would be violated and went through with the plan anyway.

I understood him. Everyone else understood him. Who didn't understand him? Um, pretty much you.

That isn't what he said and he can answer for himself . He doesn't need you and I didn't ask you.

He said that Abraham allowed 2 men to violate his wife. That is what he said.

He has and his explanation aligns with mine. Of course you will ignore that as well.

Stay out of it. He can answer. I could care less about what you have to say about what someone else meant.

Nope. I was clear that he allowed. You are wrong about the meaning of English.

Doesn't matter...

I will "stay out of it" when one of the moderators tells me to. Until then you are stuck with me.  8)

He'd rather tell other people what they meant.

Oh yeah...and lie about his own comments.

Might be nice to summarize this thread...

PY: Can you believe rsc2a believes this? He's such a moron.

Everyone else: We agree with him.

Pretty much.

I probably wouldn't have used your terminology but the fact remains that Abraham was willing to sacrifice his wife to appease Pharaoh.

You said he allowed her to be violated. You then said she wasn't violated. These two statement are contradictory. Anyone on their right mind knows they are not complimentary.

I think it depends on context. That context was on whether fallen leaders should ever be restored to ministry and some wanted to offer zero grace.

Taking the pretty language off of actions by guys like Abraham (liar, adulterer, pimp, coward), David (liar, adulterer, murderer, coward), and Peter (liar, hypocrite, coward) and showing how God used them mightily not because they were awesome but because they were chosen and had the faith of that choosing.

My kids have no delusions that these guys wore white hats. My kids also know they were great men of faith who should emulated in many ways. (e.g. When we discussed Lot's incest, we also discussed how he was called a righteous man. Difficult for a pre-teen to grasp but vital if they are to have a strong foundation to land on when they inevitably screw up.)

No one believes that Abraham or Sarah should be referenced in the manner you referenced them. You referenced them both in a derogatory manner.

None of you can reference one single Christian source that says that Abraham pimped his wife Sarah. Not one. You got this from infidels and God haters.

Its amazing to me how you'd use such terminology toward the father of faith and his wife....... and then whine about how its not Christian like for me to call you a name you don't like.

Priceless.

Just as I thought. You love to find fault in others so you don't feel as bad when you "screw up". I said it several posts ago and I was right.

What a wonderful thing to teach your children. You lie about Abraham being a pimp and committing adultery to drag him down to your level. A sinner that justifies his sin by pointing at the supposed sins of others. You're worse than any MOG you've disparaged here.

I pray your children understand how just how stupid their father is.

Oh we didn't stop there. We also said it's not Christian for you

- to put profit ahead of people.
- to lie about others.
- to be so arrogant that you cannot admit error.
- to be a coward about your "faith" in other to save your own skin.
- to be selfish and stating the "rightness" of putting your own wants over the needs of others
- to elevate self and disregard the community
- to call evil good

At least a complete lack of reading comprehension isn't indicative of your "faith!

Wait! Did you also just say Abraham was NOT an adulterer?

No Abraham wasn't an adulterer. Do you have a reading comprehension problem?

Pretty clear to me. Not difficult to understand at all.

What about sleeping with Hagar? Did God view that as adultery?

Why would it be adultery? If you're going to make the charge..... then back it up.

He had sex with a woman who wasn't his wife. What do you call that?
