i;m not the one who started this latest exchange with you..... in fact i did not adress you at all.... . you jumped in and accused me of having trump adoration syndrome in post # 9 of this thread.... .. in my opinion that was highly uncalled for.... ..

i think there would have been more substance had trump not been kept constantly on the defensive trying to counter bidens repetition of debunked leftist lies and talking points..... . .... it could have been a disaster had trump taken the bait or acted triggered ...and responded in kind... that;s what the democrats were hoping for.....
but instead it was joe biden who got triggered and came off exactly the way conservatives have been describing him for the last 5 years.... . trump by contrast came off as being in much better control of himself - and effectively countered what joe said...... ...even the left wing news media had to admit joe stunk the place up last night..... and this morning a lot of them were suggesting biden be replaced on the democrat ticket......

then maybe conservative christian churches need to start encouraging their young people to study law with the idea of running for office someday.... instead of discouraging them from having anything to do with politics..... ........ ... your house will never be built better than the quality of the materials you supplied for it..... and for too long conservatives have been going for the big money jobs or in the case of evangelicals sending their kids off to become preachers - teachers and missionaries..... meanwhile allowing the liberals and democrats to focus on training people for government service....... ..maybe it;s time to change all that......

This is absolutely the right idea.
As I've said before, it's not the voters' responsibility to support a party's bad candidates. It's the responsibility of the party to field good candidates. Of course, there needs to be some sort of "farm team" to raise them up so they can play in the big league.
One major Canadian Christian university has a extension campus here in Ottawa, a few blocks from Parliament Hill. They place students interested in Christian leadership in the public square in internships in Parliament, NGOs, advocacy groups, and so forth.

Can you provide clips or something when Trump was actually debating and or speaking when he was showing signs of critical thinking or actually speaking with deep thoughts or showing how he is a well read man or how about demonstrating deep understanding on how our government should operate?

i did not totally disagree with you..... i said there would have been more "substance" had trump not been put on the defensive from the very start..... .. ... what trump did was an effective job of countering bidens attacks.... . and as far as understanding how our government should work - trump already demonstrated a better understanding of that than any democrat has during his first term as president....... ...... but - of course - democrats will disagree with that.... . as you obviously do....... and that;s what i meant when i thanked you for confirming what many of us had already figured out....

Fair enough. But in Canada, like America, you have the choices you have and you decide which obe gets your vote.
I have a friend there who tells me Trudeau may be in a little political trouble.
The same thing is said every election cycle.
