I ask because once again I was told, via public sermon, that men struggle with lust and God's grace keeps men from falling completely on their butt. It was said that men lust after possessions and women.

Matthew 5:28 does seem to single out mankind.

Some say that such public talk proves that the speaker has a problem with lust.

So. How about it - Do men struggle with lust more than women?

I know many women who desire nicer homes, cloths, education for their children ...

OK I will add my 2 cents.  The short answer is YES.  I am not saying that women do not lust, watch porn, but the question is do men struggle more.  To support my position:

Most adult magazines other than Playgirl are for for guys.

Most Strip clubs are for guys.

How many times have we seen men leave/cheat on their wives for a more attractive women.  Look at Hollywood, some guys are married to drop dead gorgeous women, but still cheat on them.

Women will tell you that they get use to guys looking at their chest.  Not sure any guy has ever caught a woman looking at his junk and had to say "my eyes are up here".

Again I am not saying women don't look and/or lust, the question was who struggles more.

Hormones play a part, so it would depend on the man and the woman.

Lust, as you point out, is about more than sex.
But, I believe Jesus was talking about sexual lust, and in that instance does single out men. And, He indicates that men are responsible for their list.
Sometimes, women purposely dress to entice men to lust...specifically porn stars, prostututes and strippers. I assume, in that instance, the women would be wrong...sinful.

As a woman, I have quite a bit of lust. I'm blessed (or cursed depending on PoV) with a strong sex drive, But I don't struggle with it,

To quote Nirvana lyrics:
I'm so horny but that's okay
My will is good
Hey, hey, hey

I either don't yield to it or I do. But either way, it's what I decide. My brain rules, not my hormones.

No. Women struggle with lust too. Sadly,  the church (and society as a whole, somewhat) tends to focus on men, declaring that woman only need/want emotional connections. Men are taught that they should fulfill their own desires sexually, and then focus on the emotional needs of their wives. I believe that there are MANY Christian women who are not scared to  ask their husband for a new kitchen remodel, but  are embarrassed to say what they desire sexually because it is not "womanly" to have those desires.

Does it matter?  As long as you don't act upon it in an immoral way and hit on a married woman or cheat on your spouse, who cares?  So if you lust, and you will, and feel guilty about it, then ask forgiveness and go on your way.

To paraphrase Gordon Gekko, "Lust, for lack of a better word, is good."  Where would we be without it?  Not here.

I'm glad a fake stooge is here to promote his fake morality by faking a quotation from a fake character.

Thank you General.  I'm glad I was able to make a fake Christian glad.

You would do better quoting Jesus, than your immoral lizard!

I respectfully disagree with you here. The question was not "do women lust sexually", which I do believe has been overlooked to a very large degree, the question was do they lust more. I took the question to mean not "do men lust more strongly than women", but rather is it a problem more men are prone to than women. Statistically if you will.

I believe the answer can be seen by looking around if you will. Advertising is a huge industry, and advertisers are very good at what they do, and they know statistically, sex sells more product to men than women. They don't approach the topic with a preconceived Christian ideal, but rather with a "whatever works" strategy. They are rehired because of success, and they use this issue to drive sales, and they do it consistently.

Lizards can't actually be immoral. They aren't smart enough to have a moral code or violate it. They just operate on their natural instincts,

Well if his lizard can talk, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt!?

Eve was drawn away of her own lust, and enticed.

"So then every one of us....."

Yeah, no.

Calm down Reverend.  Just a tongue-in-cheek observation of the human condition.  You'll notice that asking forgiveness was mentioned.  You can go back into your cleft of the rock now.
