go ask biker which ever quasi - mostly white - upper class tribe of people claiming to be indians he joined in order to get money from the federal government programs intended for dis-advantaged native americans.....

the name of it might still be in one of his old threads...... ...... he posted a lot of information on how to rip off both the government and true native americans by filling out paperwork to get yourself declared a native american....... i bet you could find it if you did a search for it.........

i actually could qualify.... and in fact i still get mail from the federal government asking me why i haven;t signed up ......... but i know a couple of people i see here every year at the indian pow wow..... (yes... hawaii even has those kinds of festivals too..)..... ... and while i am only half navajo they are both full comanche.... they said they refused to sign up for that because it;s intended for those who are disadvantaged and they don;t feel disadvantaged....  ???

probably just a native american pride thing..... ..... but being even less disadvantaged than they are and only half native american.... i figured maybe it wouldn;t hurt me to exercise some native american pride too and refuse to sign up for a benefit i really don;t need.......... :-\

At one time, in my life, my family had to go on food stamps. We started to do better financially and did not reup for the $650 a month. We could still qualify for the stamps, but there is nothing better than to be able to remain independent of the Fed system and allow the monies to be used for those who really need it.

When commercials are run for food stamps, you know something is rotten in the system.
