As we mark her passing, it seems she was a universally loved figure…rare in this culture.
She was all things to all people….a beloved figure in the LGBT culture and a born agin Christian according to many church leaders.

She was multi talented, a true American success story and very likeable.
As to her salvation….I don’t know of course.
I truly hope she was, but have my doubts.
 
It’s going to be a “hard candy Christmas” this year
 
Living here in Tennessee it's impossible to NOT think of or know about Dolly! She was a special lady, gracious, kind, loving, and a friend to everyone she met. She gave a strong testimony of salvation. I've never met anyone like her before. She was a great philanthropist giving millions of dollars to assist not only her own home community, but to needs all across the country, many behind the scenes and without a need for recognition. My parents were great fans of Dolly, and had many of her early albums. She was just a couple of years younger than my mom. Thank you for the music, love, and example of sharing with others in need. I will always love you! ❤️❤️❤️

I feel the same way except for hoping for someone's salvation in hindsight after they die seems pointless. Being a celebrities it can be nearly impossible to be a real Christian because you have to please everyone; and she was brought up Pentecostal which has its own issues including regarding assurance of salvation and very experiential-based - even many ordinary Pentecostals aren't sure of salvation. God knows though.

From everything I've seen or heard about her, she was sincere in her Christianity. She grew up in a very strict Pentecostal family and didn't want to come across the same way. She probably had some latitudinarian or progressive opinions concerning sexuality or other religions.

The fact that she didn't wear her politics, religion, or opinions on her sleeve suggests that she was probably more conservative than liberal in those realms. She came across as more live-and-let-live than doctrinaire leftist.

She was known and loved by a lot of people.
I never have been a fan of CW, never paid much attention to her, but she was just always around, always in the picture somewhere, starring on some show or making some public appearance.
From what I understand, she did a lot with her money to help others.
Though I don't know much about her testimony, the world could use more like her.
 
If you didn't like Dolly you had your head in the sand. She loved and gave so much .............she will never be replaced that's for sure..........
 
It won't be the last we get to hear of Dolly. She recorded an album in 2015 called "My Place In History" and locked it away in a time capsule. It will not be released until January 19, 2046. True story.

She often talked about her faith but I’m not sure what she placed her faith in exactly. She was a supporter of the LGBT movement often stating that God made us as we are and we need to love people as they are like God does.
She also often told us not to judge…again in a LGBT context.

I don’t know about anyone’s relationship with God and it’s certainly possible that she was a born agin believer. She was a nice, gracious generous lady and I hope she is in heaven.

I'll have outlived Dolly by then. Whether here or in eternity, I don't think I'll be terribly interested in it by then.

Well, there's plenty of Nine Inch Nails to listen to while we're still here on this earth. I know @ALAYMAN can't help but get around to it eventually. :)

The older I get the more confused I am as to how the Lord works.

Some people say, all you need is the Holy Spirit and he will guide you into all truth.

Well, we have Calvinist here and we have people who are not Calvinist. Both claim to be believers.

So, was she saved? I’m like you I hope so. She may have not “looked” like she was to many but that doesn’t mean anything to me anymore.

As far as we know, she was a loving caring person who helped many people. Maybe she even had fruits of the Spirit. That being said, I know quite a few people who demonstrate love joy piece, longsuffering That are probably not saved. We have close friends that have this but I know they are not saved.

Confusing.

Don’t hold your breath. My musical preference is to be able to hear the lyrics over the distortion of instruments.😉
