I am on the side of the victims. They have had to wrongly carry/hide Josh's shame and been subjected to Gothard's sick teachings about sexual abuse for years. Their parents have horribly minimized their abuse (see interview), made them live under the same roof with their abuser, and made sure they did not receive appropriate counseling. Keeping this secret was clearly not good for them. Plus, their parents chose to put their childhoods on display for years - even though they knew this abuse lurked in the background. Had they been living private lives, this damage would not have been made public.

Josh molested children in 2002. JimBob and Michelle did not take action to protect their children from further abuse, so it happened again in 2003. This showed a disregard for their safety. The interview told us why they did not protect the girls - They did not think it was that big of deal. And how do we know Josh ever stopped molesting young children? He had been growing more bold; having started abusing above the clothing of sleeping children then eventually under the clothing of awake victims (child sitting on his lap, laundry room incident).

The reports were redacted and by law HAD to be released under the FOIA. Had JimBob done the right thing and properly reported Josh's crimes, their family's privacy would have been protected by the juvenile court system.

I do not think I have ever seen a second of an episode, and know nothing about the Duggars rather than what I have seen on the FFF. I did not even know they were Baptist, and guess they are IFB? Only thing that prevented further identification was there are several girls? I don't know how many kids or gender of each.
