During SOTU, Democrats cannot stand when...

You claim I drink Kool-aid?

Your party has a real problem when it cannot stand and applaud for "church, family, flag, lower black unemployment, Israel, and God."

They are not standing and applauding for the man at the podium.

Trump said in the State of the Union "Since the election we have created 2.4 million new jobs, including 200,000 new jobs in manufacturing."

Trump often inflates the number of jobs created under his presidency by counting Election Day, rather than when he took the oath of office. There have been about 1.8 million jobs created since January 2017, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That's the slowest gain in jobs since 2010, which indicates how well job growth was going before Trump took office.

The untruths just keep coming.

Election Day was when the Corporations actually breathed a sigh of relief, and began to promise to move manufacturing back to the U.S., so he is accurately portraying the scenario.

We in the Midwest , and especially Michigan and Indiana (Carrier made the announcement the week after the election), have benefitted greatly, not to mention the bull market...but, hey, who's keeping track?
O, wait, the President is, because he has business interests that are going to keep his family wealthy for generations.

Anything Trump has done to help the economy is appreciated by those who benefit. He deserves to get credit for it. Also many of the moves to the US where plans that were in place prior to the election. He has also had the benefit of building on an economy that was headed to the right direction. I would not be boasting about the market after this week. He may have set himself up with boasting about the stock market.

Funny how your arguments always boil down to calling names.

It is intellectually dishonest to claim that there are positives that Trump is claiming credit for that were long being planned before he was elected.

The President has a history of being dishonest whether you want to call it intellectual or not. During the State of the Union Trump said "Many car companies are now building and expanding plants in the United States-something we have seen for decades." Toyota built a plant in Mississippi in 2011 and BMW announced plans to build a new factory in Georgia in January 2016.

LOL! She is pathetic!
They could not even cheer on the fact that legal Mexicans have lower unemployment!

She doesn't care about Mexicans... she cares about power and her lack of it.

And Trump worked a deal with the big 3 to expand in Michigan, so what's your point?

BTW, although I don't consider name calling a bad thing, since Jesus gave us the example, you picked a bad post for it.

Psst:

Mat 23:23 ? Mat 23:39
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!
for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!
for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!
for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
Ye serpents,
ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem,
thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee,
how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

I counted at least 7 instances of "name-calling" here.
You?

Exactly. Would any of these folks on the forum be willing to do the same, then do it in heels? Most on here probably couldn't last 8 hours in a single day with an "illegal" immigrant in their home, much less literally stand in the face of the opposition on their behalf.

In another matter, funny how Pence wouldn't stand up today when the two Korean countries' athletes made their appearance at the Olympics. I thought sports is not the place for political protest? ;)

Trump kicked off his campaign with "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with them. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume are good people.

That is pathetic lie.

Trump gave corporations huge tax cuts and Pelosi stood to support people who were brought to this country at a young age and have only known the US as their home.  Trump supports huge corporations and Pelosi supported the people who have no power. Don't tell me who cares about power.

Probably not. I don?t have a desire to entertain illegals in my home.

One of them chased my daughter, at dusk, in a RV Park. Then another illegal wrecked my daughter?s car and quickly switched places with a friend who is a citizen.

They have no desire to assimilate and become citizens. Many do not even care to learn our language.

If they want to become citizens, they have full opportunity to pursue the process. Since they don?t... send them back to their home.

So why is it wrong to leave the church when the youth pastors chase your daughter, pastors "counsel" in a predatory manner both women and girls and obsess with women being sex objects for men? Now do you see why so many of us have left Evangelicalism and have no desire to assimilate with predators who make up the Evangelical church?

FYI, DACA folks were brought here AS CHILDREN and with most, this is the only country they even remember. They've been students so they've learned the language. Many have jobs, families and even served overseas in the military. Perhaps they have not had the time nor the money to pursue legal status, hence they are doing what they can by being in the DACA program. That IS the legal process they can do for the moment.

I dare you to do any work with immigrant families on a regular basis. Listen to their stories of fear. Listen to their struggles in this country with racism. Help teach them and their kids English. I do it several hours each week. Will you be willing to join and volunteer for a refugee resource non-profit organization?

It?s wrong to stay in that situation. I have left churches for far less problems than that.

You wrongly assume that this characterizes ?the Evangelical Church.? It is called the human condition and true Evangelicals reject it.

?No time or money?? They are given plenty of advantages.

I am always willing to work with anyone. I have ministered to pedophiles.

That does not change the fact that they are here illegally. The DACA program set up false assurances.

I used to believe as you that characterization for "the Evangelical church" is also a result of the human condition. Evangelicals don't universally "reject it" as they are known to harbor and defend pedophiles.. The proof is in the political candidates of choice: Trump, Moore, etc. Though rejected with their lips, their hearts are more concerned with protecting the abuser for the sake of the church's name and politic'n than it is the heart for the hurting.

Any advantages most are given were also give to us - at birth. But unlike us when we can start as (white) children, many of out outside abject poverty, others forefathers were not given the opportunities such as The 1830 Indian Removal Act or The Homestead Act, so poverty remains generational. And when talking about refugees who come here with nothing but the clothes on their back and perhaps a family to provide for, being "illegal", there are far fewer benefits or advantages.

I still cannot comprehend those who claim to have experienced grace are unwilling to extend it to people who are here illegally due to the preservation of their lives. Political Evangelicals would rather see families split up, people sent to their potential "Green Mile" or recruitment or victimization to drug lords, than to use the same money that incarcerates, tries then ships them out can be used to help them obtain legal status.

Evangelicalism is the party of "our way or death", not the party for family values, party of pro-life, party of helping the marginalized.

Just curious...How do you know the person who chased your daughter was illegal? Why would the citizen switch places with the illegal if he didn't do anything?

Illegals nor Dreamers have a pathway to citizenship. There maybe be a few who don't learn English but most know enough to communicate.  You would be hard pressed to a Dreamer that does not speak English fluently.

So you must be using the Bill Clinton definition of "hard pressed"...

Construction worker who couldn?t speak English. Other workers were hiding him when police came. Police had to drop it because, you know, Obama.

Why would the citizen switch places with the illegal if he didn't do anything?

To cover for his buddy. The driver wanted my daughter not to tell the police he was not a citizen.

Illegals nor Dreamers have a pathway to citizenship.

Sure they do. They can always go back to Mexico and enter the right way.

There maybe be a few who don't learn English but most know enough to communicate.

You don?t work in the construction trades, do you...
