I thought Catholic was a possibility as well. There were a few items he seemed to be leaning in that direction. Then again, maybe Joe’s right, and he’s just a troll.
i doubt he;s catholic.... i go to church from time to time with some very conservative catholics and they have no problem answering the simple question you asked... and will tell you they are - saved by the grace of God... through faith in Jesus Christ - the only begotten Son of God.. who gave His life and His blood as a sacrfice to pay for my sins.... and like you said it;s something we are all taught in sunday school..... ...(provided ekklesian went to sunday school)....
i was thinking about this and i remembered that the things ekklesian has said reminded me of a classmate from college who described himself as a christadelphian... he said it was a biblical unitarian type religion ..they believe God was one person only......they follow the teachings of Jesus... but deny the diety of Jesus.... in other words they do not believe Jesus was the son of God... .but they do believe He as the promised jewish Messiah....it;s a weird set of beliefs.... almost like judaism that adds Jesus as a prophet.... .. ... this guy from college was from england going to school in hawaii... considered himself an intellectual.. ..but as i remember it he didn;t do any better on tests or exams than the rest of us did........ .
here is something i found online about the christadelphians....... read some of this and see if it doesn;t fit ekklesian.... . they even use the term ecclesia frequently in their writings and descriptions of themselves.... ....
