...he said, without a trace of irony or self-awareness.The lofty opinions the self-righteous have of themselves often gets to me.

Cool. I'll have to look that up to see how you are insulting me this time.
On a completely unrelated note, it’s weird that this thread has “Bruh” as the author of “Euthanasia And Sanctity Of Life” from back in April, because I’m 99% sure I started this thread with that title. Maybe I’m losing my marbles….![]()
Gotcha. It was the name of the title that was throwing me off. Makes sense.Bruh's post (and several others) was moved to this thread later to keep things on-topic. Since it was older, it bumped your OP from the top (and as a side effect, makes it look a bit non sequitur).
I was just giving back a trace of some of what I get here. I my cheeks get sore sometimes....he said, without a trace of irony or self-awareness.
No. I'm saying God may be less worried it about than we are, but you need to read the cited thread, to understand the context of that statement.God suggests that babies should be aborted? Is that seriously an argument you are proposing?
What did you find?Cool. I'll have to look that up to see how you are insulting me this time.
I'm some form of catlickWhat did you find?
I didn't indict anyone, you're the fella that brought in that abortion canard as an illegitimate comparison.....
Now do you see the contradiction with your IVF and early abortion stances? In the one case you demand charity when the viability of an embryo is endangered for one's desires to have a child, and in the other you indict the victims of rape.
You're the one making illegitimate comparisons when you appeal to the Scriptures about one's conscience concerning certain meats and religious rites to demand grace and charity for those who are placing embryos (or children in your words) in a hostile "home" where the death of some is a certainty, and the death of all is likely, for the sake of one's own desires for parenthood, but yet none for the minors who are further traumatized by the aspect of giving birth to their Dad's baby. And you would invoke God's will...the same invocation you reject as the cavil of the ignorant and weak in the case of IVF.I didn't indict anyone, you're the fella that brought in that abortion canard as an illegitimate comparison.
Now you're just being stupid.I "endangered" my (20 y.o.) child recently when I took him on an airplane to Florida. I regularly "endanger" him every time he rides with me, lol. I "endangered" him when I taught him the use of a compound bow, and a 12 gauge shotgun. I "endangered" him when I dropped him off unsupervised in the urban woke-infected jungle know as the University of Cincinnati campus. In other words, I'm unpersuaded by your subjective definition of "endangered", insofar as it regards a known Biblical trespass.
You're catching on.I'm some form of catlick

Last I checked, a 20 year old is not a child, but what about when he was three? Did you leave him unsupervised in the house while you and the wife went to a movie?
Natch.Yeah, because all those "endangering" activities only occurred after he was an adult.
There's just so much wrong with your thinking and cherry-picking arguments that I don't think it's worth my time.
ALAYMAN, here are some verses to consider when dealing with fools who have no desire for a meaningful discussion. The one you are trying to reason with needs to look in a mirror. There's just so much wrong with your thinking and cherry-picking arguments that I don't think it's worth my time.
I’m not going to waste your time or seek a theological answer. I think enough ink has been spilled on this subject. I only have one question that simply requires a “yes” or “no” response. There's just so much wrong with your thinking and cherry-picking arguments that I don't think it's worth my time.
You should be careful with all the “fool” references. There’s one verse you forgot: Matthew 5:22ALAYMAN, here are some verses to consider when dealing with fools who have no desire for a meaningful discussion. The one you are trying to reason with needs to look in a mirror.
Pro 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
Pro 18:2 A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.
Pro 23:9 Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.
Pro 26:4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself.
Pro 29:9 If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.
Pro 29:22 A man of wrath stirs up strife, and one given to anger causes much transgression.
Ecc 10:12 The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself.
The problem with your analysis is you isolate a verse from other relevant scriptures. Raca and fool were Hebrew expression of murderous anger. Jesus and Paul used the word for whose who lack understanding. You would be much better off defending the Roman Catholic Church than you would defending this fool. You should be careful with all the “fool” references. There’s one verse you forgot: Matthew 5:22
He just hates me because I'm not a Zionist. You should be careful with all the “fool” references. There’s one verse you forgot: Matthew 5:22
I’m not defending anyone, I just think we should exercise caution when the Bible clearly commands something. If he were ridiculing the Bible or God, I’d call him a fool, but on an issue like IVF, in which even Southern Baptist Convention has taken a formal stance against, calling someone a fool seems very dangerous. I’m not God though, so if your conscience is clear, then so be it.The problem with your analysis is you isolate a verse from other relevant scriptures.
