Fairhaven Baptist Church

So, I don't generally follow news from churches, but I had to look up some information about Fairhaven; I knew that Roger Voegtlin had left and that they called a new pastor, but I didn't know who he was (I know now it was Steve Damron) - I was surprised that he was there a relatively short time (8-9 years). Did he have to resign over health?

Oh, and does anyone know why their page title is "Chesterton Independent Baptist Church"? - are they going through a name change?

On the one hand, Fairhaven is in Chesterton, Indiana--so "Chesterton Independent Baptist Church" could simply be descriptive. (I kind of assumed an IFB church wouldn't be naming themselves after G. K. Chesterton.)

On the other hand, it appears that since Google's last scrape and the present, they've switched the page title from having the Fairhaven moniker first to the Chesterton one. So maybe you're right and they're setting up for an official name change.

Could be; I was there for some reason, and noticed the change, which I didn't remember from before.
