You can also add John Piper, Matt Chandler, Louie Giglio, and David Platt to that list. They're not prosperity teachers but they've all jumped on the woke social justice movement.

The church I was asked in had him come and speak one Sunday evening when I was in my teens. I questioned some of the leaders of the church afterward about some of the statements he had made, and how he focused on himself over Christ. I was attacked, told I was wrong, and that I wanted to help bring down "the man of God." Far from it..we're supposed to question things people preach according to the Bible and compare them to Scripture. I did this and was attacked for doing so. I started noticing the hypocrisy of "religion" and it turned me off for many years. After I was at MBBC and Hyles made statements against Dr. Cedarholm in from of a group of students he was talking to, I lost any respect for him I had. I've not listened to any of his preaching, tapes, or in-person since. I wondered when he passed away if he was actually a child of God...but that's not my call. I can only judge by what I've seen in him, of him, and heard of him.
