Far out & unreasonable rules at Christian Schools or Colleges

One of the odder rules at HAC was one that prohibited dormitory females from doing the laundry of dormitory males. Why? As a lot these rules who knows?

Ummmmm....this is not an 'odd' rule at all, in my opinion.

There is no way I would have wanted to do Raider's laundry when we dated.

I remember the championship intramural basketball game in '84.  As I left the court you yelled at me and I took off one of my socks and threw it to you in the stands.  I can still see you rubbing it all over your face.  Good times!

Yes, I admit it.  I used to love the smell of wing tips.

Plus, it was the least I could do to repay you for buying me a new toothbrush after you borrowed mine.

Perhaps I am not as uptight as the next hacker but I personally see nothing "wrong" with contracting with another student to do my laundry.

Are any of you serious? How much time would I have saved at old HAC if I could have paid someone $15 to wash, dry, fold, and iron my laundry?

Now here is a really far out rule.

Hyles Anderson College believed dice were evil. So any board game played on campus that required the use of dice had to have the dice removed and replaced with a homemade spinner.

Never understood that one.

One night as the legend goes,a hackerette who was on the staff of the Assistant Dean of Women, (i.e. CF) walked into Liberty Square and was horrified that the place was filled with students playing cards. You know, UNO, Skipbo, etc. Well this was not a good testimony in her opinion. So this woman started a campaign that saw all card games outlawed and banned.

Yes you heard right. You could not play UNO on the campus of Hyles Anderson College. Hopefully Stuart Mason has made some changes.

No. I remember them outlawing Uno, Pit, etc as well.

FWIW, I learned how to make homemade spinners because my parents would throw out the dice to all board games at home.
