FLOTUS Not Wearing Muslim Garb

She just continues to not care about the tradition of the First Ladies Role. And I think it was a sign of disrespect. I guess my answer was predicted, because I am on the political right.

Should Laura Bush have worn a veil were she the FLOTUS in this situation?

Yes, if you are a visiting official, you should show respect to their culture. Would it have been so hard to have a heard covering?

Good for her.

Good for her for being disrespectful?

"Saudi Arabia has a strict dress code for women, who are instructed to wear black robes and head coverings at all times in public, though visitors to the country are not required to abide by the dress code." How is it disrespectful if one is not required to abide a dress code?

Sounds like the FLOTUS has at least one person from the right on her side, Sen. Ted Cruz.... http://www.politico.com/story/2015/01/ted-cruz-praise-michelle-obama-head-covering-114681.html

The above quote also came from that article.

Laura Bush, Hillary Clinton & Condi Rice all made the same choice, long before Mrs. Obama.  Good for her, but I'm not sure why the media suddenly sees this as bold & brave.

I am on the right and I say, Good for her!  She did not disrespect anybody...it was not required for her to do that like is wasn't for the previous FLOTUS. She dressed conservatively...but she is no Muslim and did nothing wrong or disrespectful!

If she had choose to wear a modern style head covering during the funeral, out of respect, I would have been fine with that.

If she had wore one any other time I would have been outraged and embarrassed. I think all & all she did the right thing. I'm no fan of the Obama's but in this case I think they handled it properly & It should be NO STORY.
