It is interesting that Cary Schmidt brings up Guardians and Innovators because we have been living (in our church) what he articulates in his article. Our founding pastor retired to work full time in our Bible printing ministry. Our new pastor and staff all came in as young men. It is very interesting to see the mentoring by the former pastor and a few older men in the church as the younger men grow in their leadership positions. Definitely a Guardian/Innovator relationship that has formed to further the cause of Christ.
