The seven deadly sins thing is actually true, according to Sherwood Schwartz, the show's creator. The island being hell and Gilligan Satan, though, was just a fan theory.

• Gilligan - sloth (for always avoiding work)
• Skipper - wrath (always getting mad at Gilligan and swatting him with his hat)
• Mr. Howell - greed (obvious)
• Mrs. Howell - gluttony (for all her luxuries)
• Ginger - lust (the sexy femme fatale)
• Maryanne - envy (of Ginger)
• The Professor - pride (smug intellectual superiority)

wow...... that;s disturbing... . and i use to love gilligans island.... and still do...... . but now i;ll never be able to watch it the same way again......
